Extraverted Introvert
So if you were wondering, yes I did get a good nights sleep last night! The wonderful and glorious feeling of waking up at 9:00am and then resetting that alarm to 9:20am to wake up for my class at 10 is amazing. Though, the horrors of the alarm going off at 7:00am tomorrow are haunting my thoughts indeed as the 12:00am hour is gaining up on me.
Today was going fairly normal, except one thing that has been different this entire week. Overall it was, go to class, go to work, go back to class, get lunch, come back and do homework. Although, this week has been going slightly different in the fact that since I have been getting an unusual amount of homework this week, I have been pushing back other things like working out and spending time with friends. Since I have been at college however, it has been go out here, visit this person there, homework study group at this time, and party at this day. For an introvert, that's a lot going on with little time to recharge. With all of the extra homework, I've been spending more time alone. Watching TV and completing homework. It's like a magnet and suddenly I have felt the pull of my "introvertism" calling me back, spend more time alone. Almost like crawling into the cave of my comfort. It's been really refreshing, however I forget that since I have been at college, I'm an extraverted introvert. I have to spend time alone to relax, but I also need to hang out with my friends and go out and act more extraverted. It had been so long since I had time alone and I was so happy to finally get it. Then when some of my roommates invited me to have dinner with them at our apartment and we watched The Great Gatsby and I had a great time! It was also quite refreshing and relaxing to get myself away from my homework, relax, and talk with other people than my constant and ever chattering inner monologue.
Remember to always take time for yourself, though make sure that there is equality in your life. Too much of anything is not good for anyone. Too much time alone, too much time running around, and too little of something can get in the way as well. Pin point those things that help you relax and then do them. Even if it seems that your day is insanely busy, you'll never wake up the next day feeling ready unless you go and take some time for yourself, whatever that may be.
